FRIDAY AT BASSIANI

FRIDAY AT BASSIANI

Fri 20, Jun | 00:00

Georgian techno heavyweights — founders of 11th, NDRX, and the masterminds behind Shin Records — Kancheli and Newa return to BASSIANI on June 20. Joining them is Zisko, a self-taught drummer and rising figure in South American techno, known for his rhythm-focused, percussive sound. His work seeks to redefine music as a profound human experience, drawing on disciplines such as psychoacoustics and sonic anthropology. At the core of his ethos is the belief that each production should serve as a tool to connect with the unseen, exploring the introspective and ethereal dimensions of sound. Brazilian-born, Portugal-based Marcal is deeply influenced by the raw energy of his heritage — tribal rhythms and shamanic traditions — futuristic sound design with deep low-end and psychedelic atmospheres to create perfect alchemy of some seriously mind-blowing grooves. Whether through acclaimed releases on labels like Rekids, Enemy, and Token or his uncompromising DJ sets, Marcal engineers a sound both rooted and radical — striking the balance between Amazonian suavity and cutting-edge industrialism. Horoom welcomes Valley Dolly alongside Nicole — a Batumi-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer with a background in percussion and formal music education. She began her career at 17 as part of the duo Body Thrills and has since forged a distinctive solo path, spinning old-school acid techno and intelligent minimal sounds. Bennet is the co-curator of Buttercup, a core member of the Hannover-rooted collective Soft Spot, and a resident at Hamburg’s Queerpool party series. His craft lies in the ability to weave together the full spectrum of house music — from soulful, thoughtful depths to euphoric, rhythm-fueled highs. With a keen sense of momentum, Bennet celebrates the body in motion and the dancefloor as a shared space for unity, joy, and liberation.
