Yerevan’s autumn music season is in full swing, and the next six weeks run from arena pop to rock bars to film-score tribute nights.
The big rooms are busy: the Karen Demirchyan Complex hosts back-to-back nights from Hogh, Janaga and Valery Meladze, while Tashir Arena, the Arno Babajanyan Concert Hall and smaller spots like MUHA and Eventhub fill the gaps in between. Here’s what to put in your calendar.
The shows worth planning around
- Hogh — Oct 24 & 25, Karen Demirchyan Complex. Two nights in Yerevan’s biggest indoor venue — the busiest weekend of the month.
- Hovik Arshakyan & The Boing Orchestra — Oct 30, Tashir Arena. Both listed for the same night at the arena — a Halloween-eve option for a group outing.
- Yerevan International Flute Festival — Nov 2–7. A week of concerts and masterclasses with soloists and orchestral players from across Europe and Eurasia.
- ROCK “Yeralegend” Evening — Nov 8, Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall. Rock classics in the city’s grandest concert hall.
- Janaga — Nov 21, Karen Demirchyan Complex. One of the big Russian-language hip-hop names of the moment, on the arena stage.
- Valery Meladze — Nov 28, Karen Demirchyan Complex. The headline pop date of the season, with a brand-new tour program.
For something smaller, the Mystery Ensemble’s tribute nights (Hans Zimmer, John Williams, Miyazaki, Queen vs. Beatles) run through November at the Babajanyan hall and the National Centre of Chamber Music.
