Tata Simonyan is coming home for a big one. The Armenian pop legend plays a full solo concert in the main hall of the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 19:00.
For a singer whose songs have soundtracked Armenian weddings, parties and car rides for three decades — in Yerevan and across the diaspora — this is the kind of night fans plan around.
Who is Tata
Born Albert Simonyan in Yerevan in 1962, Tata started out with the Cilicia ensemble before building a solo career in the 1990s. Albums like Tata & Asbarez (1997) made him one of the best-known voices among Armenians worldwide, and he has lived in Los Angeles for years, at the heart of the diaspora music scene.
He was named an Honored Artist of Armenia in 2006, has appeared in several films, and in 2008 led the “National Star” talent show with Armenia TV. His mix of Armenian pop, dance and folk flavours is the reason his concerts tend to pull every generation of a family into one hall.
What to expect
The organisers are promising a full-scale production rather than a nostalgia set:
- Fully live sound — no backing tracks, with Tata backed by the Karen Sevak band.
- New stage production — modern lighting, video and sound effects built for the arena.
- Old and new songs — the hits everyone knows, plus live premieres of new material.
With a ticket range from 6,000 to 45,000 AMD, there’s a seat for most budgets, but the best ones at a show like this go early.
