Six of Rkena’s best against six fighters from the Professional Fighters League. One night, one cage, at the Tbilisi Sports Palace.
On Saturday, October 17, Georgian MMA reaches its biggest stage yet. Rkena Fighting Championship hosts the PFL, the major American MMA league, for a head-to-head showdown in Tbilisi. It is Georgia versus the world, and the whole country is invited to watch.
Who is Rkena
Rkena is a Georgian MMA promotion founded in 2025. In a short time it has become the home of the country’s fighting talent, building a loyal crowd around homegrown athletes. Partnering with the PFL, one of the biggest MMA organisations in the world, is its boldest move so far, and a chance for Georgian fighters to prove themselves against international opposition in front of their own fans.
The fight card
The main event pits Georgia’s Nikoloz Abramishvili (7–3) against the PFL’s Aaron McKenzie (12–2–1) in a 165 lb catchweight bout. McKenzie brings more experience; Abramishvili brings a home crowd that will be louder than anything he has heard before.
The card has 14 fights in all. The Rkena vs PFL bouts announced so far:
Bout
---
Nikoloz Abramishvili vs Aaron McKenzie (main event)
Davit Lortkipanidze vs Tracy Reeder
Nika Kupravishvili vs Ibragim Ibragimov
Bekzat Almakhan vs Abdul Kamara
David Mgoyan vs Asa Ten Pow
There are unbeaten records on both sides. Lortkipanidze is 9–0 at lightweight, and Ibragimov is 10–0 at featherweight. Somebody’s zero is going.

Georgia has always produced fighters, from wrestling and judo to the UFC’s biggest stages. On October 17, the next generation gets its shot on home soil, against a league that knows how to build stars.
